Playing today on the Active Oval? Please remember to:
Bring your Permit (except on Fridays, which are leisure play only)
Check for field closures, see below or call 404.817.8101.

The soccer fields will re-open on Saturday, August 16th. Beginning August 16th, one soccer field will be open Monday through Friday (these will be rotated daily) and both fields will be open on the weekends. Please see the links below for reservation information. As always, Fridays are open to leisure play only.

Effective March 1st, 2008 the wearing of cleats will be allowed for permitted play on the softball fields only. PPC adheres to the City of Atlanta's No Cleats Policy, meaning
no cleats are allowed on the Active Oval soccer fields or softball outfields regardless of leisure or permitted play.
Turf shoes or sneakers are allowed.

If you are interested in reserving a field for league play CLICK HERE. For all other field reservations CLICK HERE.

Please note that permitted play is not allowed on Fridays, which are designated for leisure play only.
Friday leisure play reservations will be available in 2 hour increments on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign up sheets for leisure play reservations are field specific and are located at the north and south ball field kiosks.

Reservation Applications:
Piedmont Park Conservancy aims to schedule reserved play for sports leagues and organizations in a fair and equitable manner, balancing the sometimes-conflicting objectives of accommodating Piedmont Park patrons with sustaining the quality of the sports fields and courts on the Active Oval. PPC will attempt to work with all applicants to find reservation slots that fit a desired schedule, but cannot ensure that all applicants will receive sports area reservations in the slots they seek. Active Oval reservations are available everyday except Friday. Available times may change seasonally.

For additional information or to inquire about other Active Oval related programs, please call 404.817.8101. or email programs@piedmontpark.org.

Historical Note
The ball fields are located in the Active Oval section of the park, which was originally carved out of the hillside to create a horse racetrack in 1887.
