Wednesday, March 10 - Restoration Rangers Volunteer Orientation
     9am-11am, Magnolia Hall Courtyard, FREE

Work along with our landscape staff and other volunteers on bi-weekly projects throughout the Park. Projects include light pruning, invasive plant removal, mulching gardening and weeding. Saturday, March 13 - Virginia-Highland Civic Association Fundraisier
     9am – noon
     Corner of St. Charles and N. Highland Avenue
     2 blocks north of Ponce in Virginia-Highland

The Virginia-Highland Civic Association is hosting a fruit tree and berry bush sale as a fundraiser for its newest park. They've got everything from strawberries to olive trees, all grown in the metro Atlanta area and suitable for your garden. View the brochure. Saturday, March 13 - Phoenix Flies
     10am, Magnolia Hall, FREE

Enjoy a guided walking tour of the 53-acre expansion of Piedmont Park. Guests will also learn about the new Park area opening in 2010.

Author Sharon Foster Jones will be on hand to autograph copies of her new book, The Atlanta Exposition, which is based on the 1895 Atlanta Exposition held in what is now Piedmont Park. Her book will be available for purchase prior to the tour. No children under 13 or pets allowed. Please wear comfortable hiking shoes or boots and comfortable attire. Registration is closed. Saturday, March 13 - Park Ambassador Volunteer Orientation
     10am-11:30am, Magnolia Hall Courtyard, FREE

Park Ambassadors assist park visitors and program participants in various areas. Some duties include meeting and greeting park users, assisting park users and monitoring activity at Park amenities. Monday, March 15 - Water Warriors Volunteer Orientation
     9am-11am, Magnolia Hall Courtyard, FREE

Volunteers will receive training and earn points towards special items throughout the season such as Conservancy memberships and pool passes. Water Warrior must be 15 years of age and older and commit to volunteer at least 8 hours monthly and attend an orientation session.

Tuesday, March 16 - Stroller Walks & Story Time
     8:30am-10am, $5

Moms, Dads and Caregivers, bring the kids and the strollers to the park for a nature walk, breakfast and a special story time. Please RSVP to Mary at mmoerlins@piedmontpark.org or call 404.876.4024. Register online.


Piedmont Park Volunteers
Saturday, March 20 - Clean & Green
     9am – noon, FREE
     Registration begins at 8:45 am

Meet in the Magnolia Hall Courtyard (across from the Tennis Center). Come out, make new friends and get some exercise in Piedmont Park while assisting with landscape maintenance projects. This is a great individual, family or group project for ages 5 and up. Projects may include mulching, seasonal planting, spreading pine straw and general park beautification.
