Damage Deposits: The Piedmont Park Conservancy will collect damage deposits (when reservations are made) equal to 25% of the total user fee. Such deposits may or may not cover the costs of repairing damage to the Active Oval or Piedmont Park attributable to the reserving party. In this case, additional assessments may also be invoiced to the reserving party to recover repair costs. To the extent not needed for damage repairs, Damage Deposits will be refunded within 30 business days after all reserved time as originally invoiced has been completed.

Refunds/Cancellations: To receive a refund or credit for cancellations, the reserving party must give written notification (email acceptable) to Piedmont Park Conservancy at least fourteen days in advance of the reserved date. PPC will process a refund or credit within 30 business days after all reserved/league play or tournament play as originally invoiced has been completed.

Please remember that no person shall play, practice or otherwise participate in any game, sport or other recreational activity except at or upon places designated for that game, sport or recreational activity. Ball fields may occasionally be unavailable to help prevent overuse and to allow for maintenance. Piedmont Park Conservancy and/or the Commissioner, Office of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, City of Atlanta also reserves the right to cancel any activities in an athletic field during severe weather or inclement weather when it is determined that conditions may cause harm to participants, damage to the field, interfere with maintenance, activities/repairs or other city issues/emergencies that could cause a conflict.

Historical Note
The ball fields are located in the Active Oval section of the park, which was originally carved out of the hillside to create a horse racetrack in 1887.
