Tennis is one of the oldest sports
played in Piedmont Park. In 1913, seven clay courts were built
where the 1895 Cotton States and International Exposition’s
Manufacturers and Liberal Arts Building once stood. Tennis
proved so popular that eight additional courts were added
in 1914.
Today, the City of Atlanta Bureau of Parks operates
twelve tennis courts at the Piedmont Park Tennis Center. For
