Green Market Volunteers Needed
We need volunteers to help vendors unload their vehicles, set up, tear down and general clean up. Assistance is also needed with other programs that happen during the market: Green Market Chef Demonstration Assistant, Green Market Recycling Monitor, Green Market Survey Team, Taste of Green Market and Kids Tent Assistant. Get more information on being a Green Market Volunteer.
In partnership with the City of Atlanta Parks, Recreation and Bureau of Cultural Affairs, Piedmont Park Conservancy's Program Department hosts the Green Market, a local farmers market serving Midtown’s population with fresh, clean local food. The Green Market is held Saturdays from 9:00am - 1:00pm inside the 12th Street and Piedmont Avenue NE park entrance.
Voted one of the top five farmer’s markets in Atlanta by Access Atlanta, Green Market encourages sustainable communities in the most basic way - by providing shoppers with direct access to local farmers and merchants. It's as simple as that.
Local farmers, bakers, sauce makers and hand made goodies; there is something for everyone. While you shop you can enjoy prepared foods and drinks for breakfast and lunch.
Sign up for our weekly Green Market newsletter (March 21 through mid-December) Find out what's fresh at the market! This weekly e-newsletter lets you know what produce, vendors, chef demonstrations, band and any extra activates will be at market that week.
The market features live music and a chef demonstration April-November. Bring the kids for weekly activities, monthly kid's cooking classes, and seasonal workshops. Learn to Can and preserve your Green Market produce surplus at our hands-on canning workshop.
Enjoy spring and summer fruits and vegetables! Piedmont Park Conservancy also provides weekly History Tours that leave from the center of the market. There is something for everyone!
