Purpose
In cooperation with the City of Atlanta, to solicit input from a diverse number of parties on the implementation of the Piedmont Park Master Plan related specifically to capital projects and programming.

Authority and Relationship
The Piedmont Park Advisory Committee is a standing committee established by the 1995 Piedmont Park Master Plan, meeting as needed to perform its functions assigned to it by this document. The Committee has the authority to establish, as needed, such ad hoc groups as may be necessary to carry out its work.



Membership and Appointment
The Chairperson of the PPC Board will serve on the Piedmont Park Advisory Committee and will appoint up to four additional Board members to serve on the Committee. Committee membership will be representational of Atlanta with members serving from appropriate City of Atlanta departments, neighborhood organizations and constituent groups. Members will be appointed or selected by their organizations or constituent groups. PPC will request participation by organizations and constituent groups but will not select individual participants from those groups. The selection of the individual participants will be the responsibility of the individual groups or organizations. Individual appointees are expected to fully inform, solicit input from, and report on the views and opinions of their respective appointing organizations.

The Piedmont Park Conservancy CEO is staff officer to the committee.

The committee shall meet as needed to accomplish its duties.

Duties:
To review and comment upon plans for future capital improvements consistent with the current master plan.
To act as a forum for seeking input on specific projects, designs and reaching compromise and consensus if necessary.
To regularly inform and report back to their respective neighborhood groups, associations, constituent groups and/or organizations on the issues discussed.
To regularly report to the PPC Board on activities of the committee.
To attend regularly scheduled PPC Town Hall meetings to listen and report to the community at large.
