Bathhouse and Pools - The citizen Advisory Committee has recommended renovation of the historic bath house and pool, instead of transforming it into a cultural center and amphitheater as called for in the 1995 Master Plan. This change has been approved by the Atlanta City Council.


The Conservancy celebrated the official start of the Park's 53-acre expansion with a groundbreaking ceremony held at the Bathhouse on April 23. The historic Bathhouse and adjoining pools will be closed for construction for the next year, and will reopen for the swimming season in 2009.
