The tours are led by Piedmont Park Conservancy Docents. Join us and discover how Piedmont Park’s rich history is undeniably intertwined with the development of Atlanta. Together\, we’ll explore the fascinating historical and physical evolution of iconic Piedmont Park from forest to farm to fairgrounds for the Piedmont Exposition of 1887 and the Cotton States and International Exposition of 1895\, to Atlanta’s premier urban green space. \nMeet in front of the Visitor center which is located near the 12th Street Entrance gate. \n*Registration closes at 12pm the day before the tour. Walk ups are welcome but space is not guaranteed.\nYou will receive an email reminder a few days before your scheduled tour. Any questions please send an email to volunteer@piedmontpark.org. Tours are scheduled rain or shine. If a tour is cancelled you will receive an email  notification.

SUMMARY:Crochet Workshop 101 - Basics
DESCRIPTION:Let’s learn to crochet! During this 2 hour long program participants will learn the basics to crocheting\, leaving with confidence and a new skill in their back pocket. Our first session will go over basics: key crochet concepts\, chain stitches\, and single crochet stitches. Instruction and materials are provided\, participants will have the opportunity to leave with crochet hooks + yarn. \nThis program requires 8 participants minimum to run. Piedmont Park Conservancy believes that cost should not be a barrier to participation.
