DESCRIPTION:Once a month\, the Conservancy will host a themed “Homeschool Day” where homeschool students\, distance learning students\, and any other interested students grades K-5 can come to Piedmont Park for a field trip. The programs are interactive\, STEAM-based activities that get kids excited about learning. \nWe welcome all homeschool students and distance learning students in grades K-5 to join us in the Park on Tuesday\, November 15th for this exciting Homeschool Day! Let’s explore the changing hues of autumn as we examine the colors and camouflage of the plants and animals that Piedmont Park home. \nProgram cost is $10 per student. Payment is due at check-in. Card payment preferred\, cash or check accepted as alternative. Card payment accepted with 3% transaction fee. \nPicnic areas in the Park are available on a first-come first serve basis; bring sack lunches to enjoy before or after your program. \n10:00am– Check in begins\n10:30am– Program begins \n

Walk with us and discover how Piedmont Park’s rich history is undeniably intertwined with the development of Atlanta. Together\, we’ll explore the fascinating historical and physical evolution of iconic Piedmont Park from forest to farm to fairgrounds for the Piedmont Exposition of 1887 and the Cotton States and International Exposition of 1895\, to Atlanta’s premier urban greenspace. \n\nLed by docent volunteers\nFree and open to all ages\nPlease wear appropriate clothing for the weather as the tour is outside and involves walking\n10 am; 60 – 90 minutes in length\nMeet at Green Market and Conservancy information table located at 12th St. and Piedmont Ave. NE Park entrance\n\nPlease register here. \n  \n
