DESCRIPTION:This is a very basic\, low-impact\, light-intensity workout using the natural resistance of the water to strengthen core musculature\, increase balance\, coordination and flexibility. Water Walking is appropriate for those just starting an exercise program or those interested in water exercise. This is a self led class with provided weights and tubes. \n \nThis is for the August 1st class from 10-11am. No Lap swimming allowed!\n \nPiedmont Park Conservancy believes that cost should not be a barrier to participation. Together\, we’ll explore the fascinating historical and physical evolution of iconic Piedmont Park from forest to farm to fairgrounds for the Piedmont Exposition of 1887 and the Cotton States and International Exposition of 1895\, to Atlanta’s premier urban greenspace. \n\nLed by docent volunteers\nFree and open to all ages\nPlease wear appropriate clothing for the weather as the tour is outside and involves walking\n10 am; 60 – 90 minutes in length\nMeet at Green Market and Conservancy information table located at 12th St. and Piedmont Ave. NE Park entrance\n\nPlease register here.
