Keeping Piedmont Park a Safe Haven for All

How Can Safety Be Enhanced in Piedmont Park?

The Piedmont Park Conservancy is hosting walking tours with security experts to help us evaluate what we can do to enhance the public’s safety when visiting the park. We will learn from their expertise and share their recommendations with the City of Atlanta for their review, consideration and implementation.

Additionally, here are case studies and resources that talk about evidence-based ways to enhance safety in parks and public spaces.

Safety enhancements considered for the Safe Haven Fund include visibility and sightlines, safety messaging and communications, and other safety measures as seen in the above resources.
