His vision of public parks for all people — and their ability to strengthen communities and promote public well-being — are now more important than ever. \nIn honor of and to celebrate Frederick Law Olmsted and his many achievements\, during March and April\, the Piedmont Park Conservancy’s Saturday history tours will highlight Olmsted’s legacy and his design for Piedmont Park which has been implemented over the years including the Park Drive Bridge of 1916. \nWe are a proud partner of the Olmsted 200 campaign\, a nationwide bicentennial birthday celebration of the democratic values and enduring influence of visionary American landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted.
