Imagine your children’s summer memories taking place in Piedmont Park. In the heart of Atlanta, the Piedmont Park Conservancy offers fun, safe and hands-on experiences while instilling the importance of green space in future generations.

EnviroVentures Summer Camp

EnviroVentures Summer Camp at Piedmont Park provides a healthy and engaging activity schedule for campers ages 5-13. EnviroVentures Camp is designed for campers ages 5-10. Our Counselor in Training program is designed for campers ages 11-13. Park Leadership Team is designed for campers ages 14-15.

We offer an early registration discount of $20 per week of camp for those who register between January 17, 2023 and January 31, 2023. Our camp fills quickly; to ensure your spot and take advantage of our early registration discount, be sure to register early!

Piedmont Park Conservancy is excited to offer a summer full of EnviroVentures for your children! EnviroVentures Summer Camp includes a variety of programs and activities focusing on experiential learning through active and educational programs.

EnviroVentures Summer Camp is offered to learners ages 5-10. Due to Georgia Department of Early Learning regulations we cannot accept any campers who will not be 5 years old before the program start date.

Each EnviroVentures Summer Camp session features outdoor sports and recreation, STEAM focused activities, exploration of the Park, arts and crafts, park stewardship, and much more! During our EnviroVentures Summer Camp all full day campers participate in daily swimming at our Aquatics Center.

2023 Weekly Themes

June 5-9: Into the Wild

Kick off your summer with a week full of exploration in the park. We will learn about the different habitats in the Park and study the plants and animals that live here.

June 12-16: Mammal Madness

This week is all about our furry friends that call Georgia home. From bears to coyotes and raccoons, discover their habitats, learn what they eat and uncover their awesome adaptations

June 20-23: Mad Scientist *4 DAY CAMP WEEK*

Get messy with us as we learn about the scientific method through awesome experiments. This week will be full of hands-on science discovery that shows us just how fun science can be!

June 26-30: Water Wonders

Come dive in with us as we study all about water! We’ll focus on freshwater and saltwater ecosystems, aquatic animals, and the importance of water conservation.

July 5-7 Wacky Weather *3 DAY CAMP WEEK*

Hurricanes, tornadoes, and blizzards, oh my! Campers will explore the conditions that contribute to the world’s craziest weather and observe the impact of different types of weather in the Park.

July 10-14: Awesome Adaptations

Uncover the awesome adaptations of animals with us. We will learn about the adaptations of animals like fur, feathers, scales and scents. As we explore the Park we will discover how plants and animals survive in different habitats!

July 17-21: Nature Detectives

Explore the Park with us to see what mysteries we can uncover. Join us as we work to solve some of nature’s mysteries. We’ll use the scientific method to explain why things float, fly and change.

July 24-28: Birds and Bugs

This week we’ll be studying those that buzz and fly! Join us as we investigate bugs and birds throughout the park. Learn how these two awesome groups of creatures play an important role in our ecosystem

2023 Program Rates

EnviroVentures Summer Camp: June 5 through July 28, 2023

Rates: $310/week
**The week of June 20-June 23 is a 4 day week and is prorated to a cost of $250 per camper. The week of July 5-July 7 is a 3 day week and is prorated to a cost of $190 per camper.**

Partial, half, and full scholarships are available for a limited number of campers. Please contact Maya Kowalski (mkowalski@piedmontpark.org) for more information about our scholarship program and instructions for how to apply.

PPC Member Rates: PPC Members Receive a $20 Discount Member pricing is available for Piedmont Park Conservancy Members at the Park Advocate level and above. Get information on becoming a Piedmont Park Conservancy Member.

Review Parent Handbook

Be sure to review our parent handbook to become familiar with camp rules and policies and to read our frequently asked questions. Please be sure you are aware of our policies before finalizing your registration.

Please complete the Authorization to Dispense Medication Form if you will be sending medication with your child to be administered at camp. The completed printed form must accompany the medication to camp.

Counselor in Training Program

Our Counselor in Training program is a great option for those campers ages 11-13 that are interested in gaining work experience and serving as a leader for younger campers. The hours for the Counselor in Training program are the same as our regular camp hours. There is a fee of $250 per week of camp for the Counselors in Training which covers a camp t-shirt, training and regular supervision. The four day week of June 20-23 has a prorated fee of $200. Park Leadership Team

Our Park Leadership Team is a great option for those ages 14-15 that are interested in serving as Park ambassadors. The Park Leadership team will participate in a range of activities including: engaging with Park visitors, participating in public programs in the Park and, developing and producing creative content for Park learners. All while getting to spend summer in the Park with their peers!

Each week the Park Leadership Team will complete a service project in the Park like building a Little Free Library or working to create a new pollinator garden or painting an educational art piece in the Community Garden.

The Park Leadership Team meets in weekly sessions Monday-Thursday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Participants are asked to join the team for at least two sessions during the summer.
