Imagine your children’s summer memories taking place in Piedmont Park. In the heart of Atlanta, the Piedmont Park Conservancy offers fun, safe and hands-on experiences while instilling the importance of green space in future generations.

EnviroVentures Summer Camp

EnviroVentures Summer Camp at Piedmont Park provides a healthy and engaging activity schedule for campers ages 5-13. EnviroVentures Camp is designed for campers ages 5-10. Our Counselor in Training program is designed for campers ages 11-13. Park Leadership Team is designed for campers ages 14-15.

Piedmont Park Conservancy is excited to offer a summer full of EnviroVentures for your children!  

EnviroVentures Summer Camp is offered to learners ages 5-10. Due to Georgia Department of Early Learning regulations we cannot accept any campers who will not be 5 years old before the program start date.

Each EnviroVentures Summer Camp session features outdoor sports and recreation, STEAM focused activities, exploration of the Park, arts and crafts, park stewardship, special programs and much more! During our EnviroVentures Summer Camp all full day campers participate in daily swimming at our Aquatics Center.

COVID-19 Guidelines

We will follow COVID-19 guidelines put forth by the CDC, the State of Georgia, Department of Early Care and Learning, the City of Atlanta and the American Camp Association.

2022 Weekly Themes

June 6-10: Ecosystem Explorers

Kick off your summer with a week full of ecology exploration in the Park! From basic needs of plants and animals to food chains, this week of activities is the perfect way to start summer.

June 13-17: River Investigation

Join us to investigate the importance of Georgia’s rivers and our watersheds. We’ll learn about these freshwater resources and the plants and animals that share them with us.

June 20-24: Slime and Scales

Uncover the differences between frogs and toads and discover the awesome adaptations of our scaly snake friends. As we slither through the Park, we’ll explore how reptiles and amphibians survive in different habitats.

June 27- July 1: Nocturnal Discovery

What happens when the sun goes down and the nocturnal animals wake up? Join us as we explore what life is like after dark for our nocturnal friends. We’ll discover the adaptations that help them survive after dark!

July 5-8: Habitat Hunt **4 Day Camp Week**

Who calls the Park home? Join us as we uncover the secrets of the Park’s many habitats. From lake to wetland and meadow to forest we’ll check out Piedmont Park’s habitats while having tons of fun in the Park!

July 11-15: Pollinator Exploration

Buzz into a week of pollinator exploration as we learn about how different animals pollinate and the plants that rely on them! We’ll build a hotel for bees and discover what actions we can take to protect bees and all our valuable pollinators.

July 18-22: Predator Prowl

This week we will examine the relationships between predators and their prey. Learn how animals stalk and camouflage in order to survive. We will search for animals in the Park and uncover their survival strategies.

July 25-29: Outstanding Oceans

Dive into a week of ocean exploration with us as we discover the animals that live in our oceans and the amazing ocean food web. We will also learn what we can do to protect the oceans in our own communities.

Drop Off 8:00am-9:00am

Camp in Session 9:00am-4:00pm

Pick Up 4:00pm-5:00pm

After Care 5:00pm-6:00pm *$50 fee required per week*

EnviroVentures Summer Camp: June 6 through July 29

Rates: $310/week
**The week of July 5-July 8 is a 4 day week and is prorated to a cost of $265 per camper**

PPC Members Receive a $20 Discount

Counselor in Training Program

Our Counselor in Training program is a great option for those campers ages 11-13 that are interested in gaining work experience and serving as a leader for younger campers. The hours for the Counselor in Training program are the same as our regular camp hours.  There is a fee of $250 per week of camp for the Counselors in Training which covers a camp  t-shirt, training and regular supervision. The four day week of July 5-8 has a prorated fee of $200.  Interested in our Counselor in Training program? Apply now!

2022 Park Leadership Team

Our Park Leadership Team is a great option for those ages 14-15 that are interested in serving as Park ambassadors. The Park Leadership team will participate in a range of activities including: engaging with Park visitors, participating in public programs in the Park and developing and producing creative content for Park learners. All while getting to spend summer in the Park with their peers!

Each week the Park Leadership Team will complete a service project in the Park like building a Little Free Library or working to create a new pollinator garden or painting an educational art piece in the Community Garden.

The Park Leadership Team meets in weekly sessions Monday-Friday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Participants are asked to join the team for at least two sessions during the summer.
