Community Craft Night – Vision Board
Jan 13 | 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Start the year with vision boards and build a map for everything you want to grow, with special support from Heather Baker of Paper and Penny. Community Craft Nights offer a monthly opportunity to gather in the Park and create in a relaxed, supportive environment. With the help of Scraplanta’s recycled materials, participants can try new craft ideas or continue projects they bring from home. The program is free and designed to welcome every level of experience!
Connect and Learn: Classic Game Night

Step into a welcoming evening of strategy, learning, and community connection. This free, two-hour program at the Community Center invites participants of all experience levels to play classic games like Mah Jongg, Chess, and Bridge.
Whether you’ve never cracked open a mah jongg set, want to sharpen your chess openings, or grew up watching relatives play Rummikub and finally want to learn, this is your chance. Experienced players are encouraged to join in, share tips, and help newcomers discover the joy of these timeless games.
Piedmont Passions: Urban Birding

Piedmont Passions is a free community series created for both curious newcomers and dedicated hobbyists. Every program invites folks to learn something new, share skills, and connect with others who love the Park. Urban Bird Watching begins at the Community Center with insights from local bird enthusiast Alice Rolls, followed by a guided walk through the Park. Participants are encouraged to bring their own binoculars, though extras will be available to share along with bird guides.
