Individual Volunteer

If we’ve learned anything recently, it’s that we have to keep what we can’t afford to lose. Piedmont Park has been a haven, a resource and a saving grace for Atlantans during tough times. Get involved in and give back to Atlanta’s backyard with the Conservancy’s volunteer program.

All projects are in Piedmont Park and work to beautify the landscape. Find all of our opportunities below.

Why Volunteering is Critical

The Park has become more than just a place: it’s an outdoor gym, a calming escape from the city and a safe gathering place for friends. You help us keep Piedmont Park a place where we can clear our minds and keep our sanity.

“Piedmont Park means so much to me and our city and it’s been a joy to make a difference. Not only have I been able to get outdoors and work in the park in a variety of ways but I’ve also learned more about native plants and the Conservancy’s important work, as well as made new friends and connections in the community – not to mention it’s a good workout (spreading mulch is a fantastic way to exercise!)” – Daniel Easton

Because of our volunteers, here are a few moments witnessed in 2022 that were able to happen.

  • Keep over 40 acres of lawn space clear of trash so people were able to celebrate and safely gather in a clean space
  • Plant native shrubs and trees that keep Piedmont Park beautiful and shaded, especially during the extreme summer heat
  • Restored benches and flower beds throughout Piedmont Park to enhance its beauty
